Softening the Mother Wound: A Compassionate Breathwork Circle

  • Zoom https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/xXCObYsZT6irQHKHW37Ksg (map)

A breathwork workshop to begin healing the “mother wound” — the deep, often unspoken hurt that comes from unmet needs, missed attunement, or painful patterns with a mother or primary caregiver. Through guided meditation, heart-centered journaling and supported breathwork, you’ll be invited to feel what’s been carried in the body, offer care to younger parts of yourself, and begin to open to more self-compassion and ease.

What is the mother wound?

The mother wound is the set of emotional imprints, beliefs, and bodily sensations that form when our earliest caregiver(s) were unavailable, inconsistent, critical, distant, overbearing, or themselves wounded. It can show up as shame, people-pleasing, perfectionism, numbness, fierce self-sufficiency, or chronic longing for approval and safety. This workshop creates a gentle space to feel those threads, name them and start to tend them with kindness.

Who is this for?

-Those longing to soften patterns rooted in early caregiving: people-pleasing, caretaking, emotional suppression, or chronic self-doubt.

-Anyone seeking more embodied self-compassion, clearer boundaries, and tools for regulation.

What you’ll take away:

-A felt experience of being witnessed and soothed

—some relief from held grief, anger, or numbness.

-Clearer compassion for your younger self and practical ways to begin re-parenting
